Inside Retro Bio: Sam Altman's $180 Million Longevity Bet

Node 1.3 - The start-up hacking cells to reverse aging

Sam Altman has placed a handful of big bets on a handful of the most exciting technologies going.

OpenAI speaks for itself on the AI front. Altman has then backed Helion for energy, World for finance and identity, Hermeus for transportation and Retro Bio for longevity. In Retro’s case, Altman put $180 million into the company that is trying to add ten years of healthy life to every human.

This week on Core Memory, we take you inside Retro for a look at the company, its science and its researchers.

Core Memory subscribers get first dibs on the new episode. We’ll also be posting our full interview with Retro’s CEO Joe Betts-LaCroix in the days to come.

Betts-LaCroix was the first guest on our podcast, and his episode has outpaced all the others by some margin. Apparently you’re interested in the guy.
